FEW VITAL POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND


Protective measures for those who recently visited hotspot areas where COVID-19 cases have been found


  • Keep yourself in home quarantine or self isolate if you are feeling that you are not well, even you are having mild symptoms like headache, low fever, and light sneezing. You have to be in quarantine until you get recovered. And if it is necessary to go out to buy essential things or grocery items or vegetables, you should wear a mask and avoid getting in contact with others, maintain social distance to avoid infecting others.
  • After that you feel that you are not recovering, you have a fever, cough, and feeling difficulty in breathing. This may be a symptoms of past respiratory disease or infection. So no need to wait just call helpline number and tell them whether you have any past travel history of hotspot area, your body symptoms.



How to wear, put off and dispose a mask?


  • A mask should be used by the health workers, care takers and those who have symptoms like cough, fever and difficulty in breathing.
  • Mask should be touched by clean hands, before put on individual should clean their hands by alcoholic based sanitizer or with any soap.
  • Individual should check before wearing that there should not be any insect inside it or any hole or damage in the mask.
  • Check the top and bottom side of the mask(metallic strip)
  • Confirm the outer side of the mask then put it on.
  • Apply the mask in your face and adjust the metallic strip so it should be in the shape of your nose.
  • Adjust it in the bottom side also, so that it should cover your nose as well as mouth.
  • Put off the mask after the use and avoid placing the mask in the contaminated surface.
  • After the use through the disposable mask in the dustbin immediately.
  • Clean your hands with the use of alcoholic base sanitizer or any soap just after disposing the mask.



Contaminated surfaces


  • The surfaces which have come in a contact of virus known as contaminated surface. It is not sure that how long the virus survives on that surfaces. In the recent studies, it has been suggested that virus could survive up to few hours or several days but it may differ in different conditions(surface type, temperature or humidity).
  • The surfaces which frequently comes in a contact have to keep cleaning to it to disinfect the virus and protect us. Clean your hand after disinfecting the surface with alcoholic based sanitizer or any soap. 
  • Wash fruits and vegetables 
  • Fruits and vegetables are very crucial to us for healthy diet. Whenever you buy any fruit or vegetable wash it very carefully in your home and before handling them wash your hand with soap and water.


Animals also getting infected to COVID-19


  • As we know that there are some animals and pets have been reported positive covid-19.
  • There are chances that some of the animal they can get infected with the virus due to close contact with infected human body. But even now there is no evidence that animals can spread the virus and infect the humans.
  • If we say that cat could transmit the virus to other animals or humans so it is too early before testing it.
  • we have to maintain distance with street animals(feed them but maintain distance too).
